The Eureka Moment

It started with the idea: wouldn’t it be great to have super-high quality mobile printer that accompanies your smartphone? SnapJet was born on September 5th 2013, after taking this picture in our makeshift darkroom (read more). This was our Eureka moment.

After some tinkering, we discovered that it was possible to print pictures from any smartphone without custom apps, or connectivity. We knew this idea was too exciting to pass up.

Hundreds of Tests Later…

We thought we had everything in the bag after a few initial tests, but boy were we wrong! It would be months of experimentation before we could actually develop a crisp image onto film.

Finally, after a few lucky breaks, we started achieving and even surpassing the quality of existing printers. The pictures were beginning to look stunning!
